Dr. Brents graduated from Centre College prior to earning his doctorate degree in 1978 from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He then completed a one-year general dentistry residency at Reynolds Army Hospital, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Dr. Brents continues to attend advanced education programs in order to stay at the forefront of his profession, ensuring optimal care for his patients.
Dr. Brents is now enjoying his “retired” military status, having spent 24 years of military service through a combination of Active Duty, Army Reserves and Ky Army National Guard.
While away from the office, Dr. Brents enjoys spending time outdoors – whether it be yard work, walking, jogging or fishing. He is active in his church and community. He has a passion for doing dental work on mission trips.
Dr. Brents and his wife, Carita, reside in Paint Lick, where they enjoy “junking” together and, more recently, being grandparents.
Dr. Brents is originally from Marion County and his wife, Carita, from Grayson County. They have called Paint Lick “home” since 1984.
