Meet the Staff at Ed Brents, DMD
Mary Jo is a native of Rockcastle County where she still resides with her husband of 23 years and their son. She graduated from the University of Kentucky/Lexington Technical Institute in 1982. Most of her 30+ years working as a hygienist have been here in this same office.
She enjoys outdoor activities, which include camping with her family, hiking, swimming and Gatlinburg, TN. She plants a beautiful garden, then cans and freezes the harvest to enjoy all winter long. She is also a huge Big Blue Wilcats fan!
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
Brandi comes to us from London, Ky, for nearly 4 years now, with 10 years experience as a dental hygienist. She graduated from Somerset Comm. College in 2001 with an associate degree in science, then from Prestonburg Comm. College with an associate in applied science in dental hygiene. She is planning on furthering her education at WKU with a bachelor in dental hygiene.
She loves being around her family and friends, especially her husband and 3 beautiful nieces. Pinterest and Etsy websites have created new obsessions for crafting. She also loves shopping!
“I enjoy making people feel good about their teeth and overall appearance. I would love to help you with your preventative care and oral hygiene needs!”
Martha is a 1974 graduate of Western Kentucky University. Her very first job as a Dental Hygienist was with Dr. Hugh Skidmore back in the 1970’s, which was the original dentist in this building for the first 30+ years! She has been working as a Hygienist ever since.
She works here most Wednesdays, as she also has a full-time hygiene position in Lexington. She enjoys traveling, hiking, snowshoeing and sewing. She is also a fabulous cook! On the days she works here, she wakes up early and whips up very tasty baked goodies for us all to share!
Sue is one of our part- time hygienists, having graduated from UK and LCC in 1994. She brightens our office most Thursdays, although we’d love to have her here every day. She’s been married to Monty for 28 years, resides in Lancaster and has two children – Caleb & Emily. She enjoys being a mom most of all, along with gardening, traveling, biking, hiking and the great outdoors!
“I am very thankful to work in a loving Christian environment where quality dentistry is offered.”
